Launch of the Aspiring Managers Development Programme 2009-2010 7 Apr 2009
The Tourism Skills Network is delighted to announce the launch of this years Aspiring Managers Development Programme, which is due to commence in June 2009. Developed by the Tourism Skills Network South West the programme is delivered by industry professionals and offers a unique development opportunity for first line managers and supervisors in the tourism and hospitality industry. This year-long programme offers a unique development opportunity for owner managers, first level managers and supervisors in the tourism and hospitality industry looking to enhance their professional development.The Aspiring Managers Development Programme has been developed by the Tourism Skills Network South West, is delivered by industry professionals and is endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality.
On completion of the programme participants will be able to:
· Build, motivate and maintain a successful
team
· Lead with enthusiasm and confidence
· Generate new ideas and opportunities that will take their organisation forward
· Appreciate their role in the tourism and hospitality industry in the South West
· Develop their leadership qualities and become ambassadors for the region
Delegates completing the programme will also receive The Institute of Leadership and Management level 3 award in First line Management. Over 10 months, each delegate will attend six regional workshops in Somerset and six localised action learning groups.
This programme has a commercial value of over £1000 per person. However through funding from the South West of England Regional Development Agency and Train to Gain, the Tourism Skills Network South West is able to offer this programme at a subsidised rate of £300 per person* (*terms and conditions apply).
