Introduction

Somerset Tourism Skills Network was established in 2002 by Destination Bristol through a South West of England Regional Development Agency initiative to promote the productivity and business competitiveness of the tourism sector in the South West.

As the Somerset 'arm' of the Tourism Skills Network South West it works with employers to identify training needs and deliver programmes in partnership with training agencies to improve the skills base and capacity of the workforce, as well as promoting tourism as a career of first choice.

How are we managed?

The Network is directed by an industry-led steering group committed to increasing business competitiveness in the hospitality and tourism industry in Somerset. The Steering Group meets four times a year to identify current skills issues facing industry and to direct the work of the Tourism Skills Network.

Business representatives with a passion for skills training and who would like to get involved should contact Louisa Turner on 01458 210790 or email somerset@tsnsw.org.uk

The Network is managed by Destination Bristol (company number 3715280 registered in England and Wales)- a company limited by guarantee and controlled by Bristol City Council. Registered office 53 Queen Square, Bristol, BS1 4LH
